The game you see below, Baghead, was created during a student led game jam in 2020. I was the production supervisor and chief sound engineer. All sound elements and music were created by in-house. As a sound engineer in a game jam, my role is vital to the development process. I work closely with the designers and developers to understand the game's vision and atmosphere, then create and implement audio elements such as sound effects, music tracks, ambient sounds, and voiceovers. During the jam, I thrive under tight deadlines, rapidly iterating on audio assets to match the evolving game design. My contributions are essential in enhancing the player experience, adding immersion, and bringing depth to the game's overall atmosphere and gameplay feel. Additionally, as a production manager in a game jam, my role is to oversee and coordinate the development process from start to finish. I work closely with the entire team, including designers, programmers, artists, and game engineers, to ensure that everyone stays on track and meets deadlines. I create schedules, set goals, and allocate resources effectively to maximize productivity and creativity. During the jam, I prioritize tasks, solve problems, and keep the team motivated and focused on achieving our objectives.
